Five fully-accredited schools educate 2,800 students between three elementary, one middle, and one high school. With smaller-than-average classroom sizes, students are encouraged by their teachers and peers in a friendly learning environment, and the curriculum strongly emphasizes careers in technology.
Events
Each year, the town of Colonial Heights looks forward to one singular event: the Fort Clifton Festival. Each May, during Mother's Day weekend, the historic Civil War fort is transformed into a celebratory space for residents of Colonial Heights. Other highly-anticipated annual events include holiday favorites, including the annual Turkey Trot and Christmas Parade, and plenty of fairs, festivals, and expos throughout the year.
Other Favorites
Fans of antiques and automotive innovation won't be able to get enough of the Keystone Antique Truck & Tractor Museum. With more than 125,000 square feet showcasing hundreds of rare farm tractors dating from 1917 to 1960. And, you'll have some major fun at a Tri-City Chili Peppers baseball game as they take on the competition in the Coastal Plain League; it's a new favorite pastime of residents of Colonial Heights.
